1166 Campaign Hero Point Rules

Because you’re the heroes (right?) you get Hero points, which you can spend for numerous special bonuses.

You receive 3 Hero points at the start of the campaign and earn them during the course of the game.

You may spend one Hero point for the following:

  • Reroll an Attack, Initiative, Skill Check, or Saving Throw and add a +6 bonus (doesn’t affect crits).
  • Reroll a damage roll and multiply it by 2
  • Have a convenient item appear within easy (free action) reach.
  • You’re past -10 hit points, but instead of dying, you just look dead. The opponent leaves you on the battlefield for the crows. (Not appropriate in all situations, like beheadings).
  • Perform any clerical spell up to 4th level, provided you make a holy oath to go on a pilgrimage afterwards.
  • Say the right thing that changes a hostile character’s reaction to you to neutral.
  • You get an extra full action that round.
  • You can bring another character’s family, faction, or secret society enemy into the scene!
  • You can intervene in a character’s action, provided that you’re on the scene at the time.
